A great deal at OUA. For some reason, they've discounted their complete stock of Prunotto Barolo Bussia 1999 from roughly 40 OMR to 19.500 OMR! Agreed, that's still a good sum for a bottle of wine, but this one is worth it.Prunotto is one of the leading producers of Barolo, and Bussia is one of the prime vineyards in the region. At ten years of age, this wine is still a youngster. It will drink nicely if you give it some time in the decanter, but can also age for many more years.
If you decide to buy a bottle and open it sometime soon, consider serving it with dinner. Dark, earthy flavours work best. We paired it with a red wine poached tenderloin steak, with a variety of sautéed mushrooms. A very nice combination.
So, run to your nearest OUA store and buy all you can. But please be so kind to leave a few bottles for us.
